Party on the Great Wall at This Year's YinYang Music Festival

YinYang isn't your average music festival. Apart from live music performances, the festival also includes visual art projections and yoga. Eschewing mainstream dance music, the fourth edition of YinYang – which will be held during the upcoming holiday from May 28-30 – instead features local acts as well as Worakls and four French DJs from Boiler Room. What's more, the festival takes place on a historic section of Huayaguan Great Wall, Tianjin (the border of Beijing).

The YinYang Festival is all about bringing people from all corners of the world together through music. The festival's organizers are big boosters of the Chinese alternative electronic music scene. They started the festival back in 2014 to create a place where young artists could show off their stuff and veterans could perform for fans.

For this year's festival, artists from around China and around the world are making their way to Beijing to perform. Headliners include: Worakls (France), The Shanghai Restoration Project (USA), Savaggio (Germany), Jack de Marseille (France), Umeme Afrorave (The Netherlands) and Thrasher (England).

There will also be a ton of local performers and artists appearing throughout the three-day festival.

There will be three incredible stages set up on and around the wall. The daytime stage is located on top of the Great Wall. (We’ve heard that the sunrise is especially amazing from there!) The nighttime stage will be set up at the foot of the wall, and the main stage will be decked out with 3D mapping visuals created by live visual artists.

Aside from three days of musical acts, there will also be a culture and art exchange coop set up by the Dutch, French and Austrian governments. Tai chi and yoga lessons will also be offered. Festival goers will also be able to either camp out or book a room at a hotel located inside the ancient courtyard of the Great Wall.
