The Place Museum announced Thursday that it will digitize its entire collection and make all images available to the public, Shanghai Daily reports.

At the end of 2016, the Palace Museum housed 1,862,690 antiques and artifacts. However only 400,000 have been photographed.

Photos will be taken from multiple angles and will be made available to the public. The project was largely influenced by the British Museum, which has released over one million images of its works to the public.

History buffs can also use the Palace Museum app to see artifacts. A new image is released on the app every day, along with information about each piece.

To get the free app just search for "The Palace Museum" in the iPhone app store.
