Beijing's the best: Top Restaurants

Someone must have been listening to the gripes about last month’s ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list, which failed to feature a single Beijing eatery. The Daily Meal have published a ‘101 Best Restaurants in Asia,’ and if anything, there’s almost too much Beijing in it. 22 restaurants are from our fair capital, with nine in the Top 25 alone. Some choices have been rather under-celebrated in foreign media, like top Beijing pick, Green T. House, at No. 3 (“ultramodern…stunning”), while big hitters Temple TRB and Capital M came Nos. 4 and 5 respectively. Medium-budget places like Dali Courtyard (No. 7) and Three Guizhou Men (No.92) are included. Significantly missing, however, was expat-rag favorite Maison Boulud.
