Oz

A year after its production of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, Anon Theatre returns with an adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. Director Arran R. KWEG Extreme Carnival 

Last year’s Kia World Extreme Games drew in a record-breaking 71,600 spectators and the organizers are aiming to make this year’s edition even bigger. Asia’s largest extreme sports showcase takes over the Oriental Pearl Tower from April 25-28 and KIC Jiangwan Stadium from May 1-3, with tickets going on sale soon. To whet people’s appetite, they’re hosting an Extreme Carnival. Skateboard demonstrations will take place on a ramp set in front of the Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower. Emma Pollock

Twenty years ago, The Delgados self-released their first single. They've been a vital force in the development of the Glasgow indie scene, releasing five acclaimed albums while giving acts like Mogwai, Bis and Arab Strap their first chance through their Chemikal Underground label. Now, their fans are paying them back, as XXYY's Michael Herd and a few other Shanghai-based Scots will be backing up the now disbanded group's frontwoman Emma Pollock on a seven-city Mainland tour.
