China’s greatest contribution to the thriving field of viral internet celebrity cats (and possibly the world) is here: introducing *drum roll*… SURPRISED CAT.

Following in the pawprints of Angry Cat and Grumpy Cat, Surprised Cat’s wide eyes and unique patch of dark fur beneath his mouth give him his signature look of perpetual shock.

Better known to his Shanghai-based owner as Banye, the flummoxed feline first rose to fame on China’s Pinterest-like site Duitang, where owner Winnie has been uploading photos of Banye since he was just Surprised Kitten.

"Sleep on the floor?!"
