Spa Review: Pure indulgence at Zeta Villa Shanghai

With eight branches dotted around town, high-end spa Zeta Villa has been pampering Shanghai since 2007.

Located in premium business areas such as Xintiandi, Nanjing Xi Lu and the Rockbund, each of the company’s stores is kitted out in laidback, contemporary fashion, exuding elegance aplenty.

On a visit to the Rockbund branch, the friendly service and professional treatment we received left us pretty impressed – and eager to return.

Covering an extensive range of services - from facials and body massages to waxing, manicures and pedicures - ZETA pampers its clients with some of the best beauty brands around, including all Aromatherapy Associates, Jurlique and Skin Ceuticals.

Both their Signature O2 Rejuvenation Treatment (RMB1,680/90mins) and Lymphatic Detoxifying Facial (RMB750/75mins) are miracle boosters  for dry skin, leaving it supple and baby soft.

Hydrotherapy is another highlight. Lying on a super comfy bed in a dimly lit room, you’ll be lulled to a deep slumber as a therapist gently applies rose-scented AA cream onto your skin, pressing on specific pressure points to relieve muscle pain and assist circulation.

As knots are forcefully - yet never painfully - tended to, kinks are soon soften and smoothed. Upon leaving the place, our back felt straighter, our whole body incredibly relaxed.

Finish the blissful experience with a cup of barley tea, and book your next appointment in this urban haven. Trust us, you won’t be able to resist.
