On July 5, Adora Cruises, a premium cruise experiences provider, announced that the first brewery in Asia will debut onboard Adora Magic City, the first Chinese-built large cruise ship. The 1508 Brewery, adopting the new build's project name, will create original recipes to offer its guests a diverse selection of distinctive craft beers freshly brewed.
The unique brews are designed by veteran German brewers with finest ingredients, following the Bavarian Beer Purity Law dated back to 1516. Guests onboard Adora Magic City will have the chance to enjoy a selection of craft beers that cater to the needs of Chinese guests. Apart from that, a signature craft beer is specially designed and brewed by blending the spices found in the countries along the Silk Road. The exclusive in-house brewery is planted throughout the cruise ship's deck 5 to serve the three fantastic bars it covers, Munich Square, Bavarian Lounge, and Ocean View Bar.
Adora Cruises promises to create "A Voyage in Love", during which Chinese guests can enjoy a unique cruise holiday experience with authentic Chinese and international gourmet food, entertaining production shows, and world-class shopping at sea with a perfect fusion of East and West.
Adora Magic City, the first Chinese-built cruise ship, with a gross tonnage of 135,500, can accommodate up to 5,246 passengers. The ship is currently under construction in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Corporation and is scheduled to set sail at the end of 2023. Mediterranea, the company's 86,000 GT cruise ship, known as the "Ship of Art", is also expected to serve the Chinese market.
The second Chinese-built large cruise ship under Adora Cruises has officially entered the design and construction stage.
