Attention foodies: You're invited to the Third Annual Shanghai Wine & Dine Festival!
Over the past two years, the event has been attended by more than 200,000 guests. This year's edition of the festival will take place September 22-24 at Shanghai Expo Park, and will feature a cultural tour of the world through eating and drinking.
Fifteen consulates and trade commissions in Shanghai are working hand-in-hand with the festival organizer to help showcase food, drinks from their countries of origin. You'll be able to sample the best culinary delights from 230 exhibitors coming from all over the world, including Italy, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Russia, Japan, Korea.
In addition to the reserved menus, you'll be able to participate in training sessions covering topics like wine tasting, baking and coffee making. The master class series will help you learn essential skills for baking and cooking, hand over expert knowledge in wine tasting and surprise you with tailor-made sessions hosted by Escoffier – allowing you become a gourmet pro in just three days.
There's also plenty of activities going on for families, with performances taking place at the Riverside Stage. Kids can head over to the Family Zone for a meet and greet session with Sesame Street characters while mom and dad enjoy a glass of German Riseling. There will also be interactive English class on site for kids to help learn idiomatic American English phrases.
