Shanghai's favorite black tie boxing bloodbath returns for another round in the rainforest, courtesy of White Collar Boxing International. Brawl on the Bund: Rumble in the Jungle 2017 will rock Hyatt on the Bund on June 9 for a one-time only event that's the first of its kind in the world.

More than 500 people will watch Shanghai's finest duke it out for victory. 'White Collar' boxers have been plucked from offices across the city and put in intensive training for three months, and will be ready to show off their newly mastered hooks, jabs and – importantly – ability to take a punch.

In the next few days leading up to fight night, we will be posting a preview of each match-up. From the fourth bout, Kim 'Slicer' McNair and Israel 'Brown Sugar' Polo took the time to answer some questions.

Kim 'Slicer' McNair

Nationality: Irish

Age: 28

Weight: 76 kg

Favorite quote: Be like water -Bruce Lee

What made you decide to fight? I started because I wanted to learn self-defence, but it has become a part of my life. Now, it’s about pushing myself and having a reason to hold myself accountable.

If you could fight anyone living, dead, fictional or real, who would it be? I’d fight Willie Pep. A lightweight from the ‘40s and ‘50s known for his movement and elusiveness. I’ve learned a lot from watching old videos of him.

What does it mean for you to be a fighter? To me, being a fighter means persistence. The drive to keep going week after week and getting back in there and work on your mistakes, even after losing or getting beaten up. If you want to get good, you need to get beaten a few times first.

What sets you apart from the other boxers in Brawl on the Bund? I’ve trained in a few different countries and I’ve seen a lot of styles (of boxing). I think this helps me adapt to opponents quickly.

What holes do you see in your opponent's game? Honestly, I’ve never seen him train so I don’t know if he has any. I hope I can find some.

What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your fight? At the end, I just want people to remember the fight. If he’s working as hard as I am, it’s going to be good.

Israel 'Brown Sugar' Polo

Nationality: USA

Age: 28

Weight: 74 kg

Favorite quote: It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum.

What made you decide to fight? I decided to fight to have more to write about.

If you could fight anyone living, dead, fictional or real, who would it be? I would fight an angel, again.

What does it mean for you to be a fighter? Being a fighter means a privilege to me.

What sets you apart from the other boxers in Brawl on the Bund? I like to shower before I workout.

What holes do you see in your opponent's game? His only flaw is that he is in the ring with me.

What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your fight? I want to be remembered as the winner.
