There's a scene in the recent Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck where co-star John Cena throws around random Chinese phrases in bed

Turns out he actually knows the language, as is evidenced by this video from a WWE press conference in Shanghai yesterday in which the pro-wrestler-slash-actor speaks Mandarin for a full two minutes, saying classic Chinese phrases like "xie xie" and "wo de Zhongwen zhi mamahuhu."

Watch below (VPN on):

Naturally, the Twitter/Reddit-verse were blown away by this incredible feat. Wrote Twitter user @Yolo_Tengo: "John Cena's Mandarin is better than Mark Zuckerberg's."

So how did Cena get to learn Chinese in the first place? According to Redditor Fizzay, the WWE offers free language courses for all wrestlers. Cena likely chose Mandarin to help promote the brand in China.

At yesterday's conference (held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, in case you were curious), the WWE also signed China's very first wrestler — 22-year-old Bin Wang from Anhui. Yao Ming even made an appearance!
