We are fast approaching the happiest time of the year for beer drinkers (and the most challenging for livers) as Oktoberfest rolls around again. Celebrated annually in Munich since 1810, the iconic tradition is carried out faithfully every year at Paulaner Bräuhaus – the self-styled ambassador of the Bavarian lifestyle in Shanghai.
This year the flagship Paulaner location on Fenyang Lu is hosting a 10-day Oktoberfest celebration from Thursday, October 15 to Saturday, October 24.
The German brew masters promise gallons of freshly brewed Oktoberfest Beer, specially made for the festival, along with a menu of Oktoberfest staples, and for those who like their booze sans hops, last year’s popular Schnapps Bar will be back.
Also returning is nine-piece Oktoberfest band Die Kirchdorfer from the Hackerzelt, one of the biggest beer tents at Munich’s Oktoberfest, to guarantee a proper Oktoberfest atmosphere.
The event is always well run and well attended, so if you’re thinking of going, now is the time to reserve your table!
For groups of six or more, the following Oktoberfest packages can be booked (at least 24 hours in advance):
