Daiki Kanetake, owner of the exclusive gentleman’s lounge Glen Classic in Beijing, is in Shanghai this week and is guest bartending at Bar No.3 for tonight only. Kanetake has won numerous awards and his high-scale bar in Beijing that serves great cocktails and excellent liquor.
Kanetake believes in order to be a great bartender, one must never give up. “Keep putting in effort, consistently every day,” he says. Bartending is a “never-ending learning [process] and [one can always] improve.”
Kanetake previously worked for Hisashi Kishi, the winner of the International Bartender Association International Cocktail Competition. Kanetaka is one of the six well-known international and Asian mixologists from Bacardi’s guest bartending campaign to visit Shanghai.
