It's a spookily Literary Shanghai Halloween!

Join Hannah Lund and Adelaide Grosse in conversation as they launch their new bilingual graphic novel, “Haunted” (Chinese version: 闹鬼). The collection draws readers into a world of ghosts, highlighting 13 supernatural, quirky stories inspired by Qing dynasty writer Pu Songling’s “Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio” (聊斋志异) in hand-painted watercolor illustrations. The tales range from the sepulchral “Painted Skin,” to the downright silly “Drinking Buddy.” Copies of both the Chinese and the English version will be on sale.
