After the success of the first edition of Good France in 2015, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development announced this year’s follow-up, which will begin on (or around) March 21. The event will include more than 1,500 restaurants from all corners of the globe, including 61 participants right here in China (including Hong Kong and Macao).
According to a press release from the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, nine restaurants in southern China will offer a Good France dinner to the public. In Guangzhou, these restaurants are Chez Max, Ebony (Mandarin Oriental), Le Grill (Sofitel), Louboutin (Canton Place) and Lutèce (Guangzhou Tower). The Coffee Shop in Shenzhen will also host a dinner. All participating restaurants designed a special menu for the occasion, with a price range that varies according to the rarity of the ingredients used.
An international committee, made of 15 world renowned chefs, including Alain Ducasse, Paul Bocuse, Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy, has selected these restaurants. With this dinner, participating restaurants will share the values of French cuisine: conviviality and pleasure, modernity, diversity and high quality ingredients.
The Consulate General of France in Guangzhou hopes the public of southern China will greet with joy this festival of French gastronomy!
Bon appétit dear readers!
