On Wednesday, Shake Shack announced via WeChat that their first Beijing location will open on August 12. The store location is in Taikoo Li Sanlitun

The new restaurant was slated to open late 2020, with a menu of fan favorites and Shake Shack’s signature items such as the ShackBurger and the Shack-cago Dog. Expect long lines once the food starts cooking, as is customary whenever a popular Western food joint opens up (read: Tim Hortons).

Shake Shack has found success in Greater China with locations in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The company also revealed major expansion plans in the southern provinces of Guangdong and Fujian earlier this summer.

Last year, Chief Global Licensing Officer Michael Kark said, “After seeing the passion from our fans in Hong Kong and Shanghai, we see tremendous growth opportunity for Shake Shack in Chinese mainland”
