China's National Day holiday, known as Golden Week, is less than a month away, and it’s time to plan your vacation!
National Day celebrates the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, which occurs during the same period, is a Chinese holiday celebrating the fall harvest and is a time for family reunions, as well as a bit of moon-gazing.
It takes place on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month—in 2025, it falls on Monday, October 6.
This year we will have an eight-day-long vacation from Wednesday, October 1 to Sunday, October 8, with two make-up working days on Sunday, September 28 and Saturday, October 11.
As always, train tickets sell out quickly and flight prices soar—so make sure to book yours as soon as possible!
