MO Bar, the rooftop bar on the 79th floor of Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, has been named the leading hotel bar in China at the '2024 National DRiNK Awards,' with the accolade recently announced at the awards ceremony in Shanghai.
With indoor and two outdoor areas, MO Bar offers exhilarating views of the city skyline.
It is an innovative drinks list that pays tribute to China as the birthplace of movable type printing, with each menu being a bespoke creation for its discerning guests.
These delectable cocktails are crafted by Tiger Chang, MO Bar's beverage manager and head of its mixology team.
Says Tiger, "We are honoured to be recognized by the '2024 National DRiNK Awards' as China's leading Hotel Bar. I am thrilled for all our industry peers in China for achieving many top spots this year."
To highlight the bar's achievement at the 'National DRiNK Awards,' and its three-year anniversary, MO Bar will be introducing a new cocktail menu in 2025, inspired by a 'Colours of China' theme, where the new menu is guided by the seasons and reflective of China's rich resources, serving as the foundation for an exceptional experience.
The team at MO Bar is led by Tiger Chang, who developed and honed his distinctive mixology style at hotels in his native Taipei, where he served as a chief bartender at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei.
Later, he worked at some of the trendiest nightspots in major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and is noted for his creative cocktails at guest shifts in London, Singapore, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, and Yokohama.
This cosmopolitan background makes Tiger a perfect fit for MO Bar, a destination for innovative drinks and one of China's leading bars.
