The past few days it was starting to feel like summer. The sun was out and humidity crept in slowly but surely. But you know what they say – some things are too good to last.

Rain is in the forecast for the next few days. Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory predicts heavy rain and strong winds brought on by the collision of cold and warm air. Winds may reach up to about levels 7 to 8.

Remember to bring your brollies, and try to stay indoors!

Northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta will see heavy to torrential rain around April 15 and 16. Afterward, heavy rain will move to western Guangdong Saturday.

The second typhoon of this year, Surigae, formed around the Western Pacific yesterday morning, however, chances of it hitting Shenzhen or Guangzhou are unlikely.

The typhoon will probably move northeast, to the eastern coastal waters of the Philippines, gradually moving away from Guangdong province.
