During DRiNK Fest, participating bars are offering RMB50 drink deals! Sign up is free, search ‘DiningCity鼎食聚’ in Mini Programs and click on DRiNK Fest. Once you’re a member, you can use the mini program to find cocktail bars, hotel bars, restaurant bars and other venues near you and view their special DRiNK Fest menus. No prebooking is required – simply visit a participating venue, ask the bartender for their DRiNK Fest menu, and order. Bars on the list include: Life on Mars, Slat Banca, Shark, Compass Cafe, Fannou Bistro, Bar Choice and more.

Fri, Nov 13: Joe Wong Live
Joe Wong was born in Jilin province and after finishing his studies, he went to the US and graduated from RICE University in 2000 with a PhD in Biochemistry. A year later, Joe moved to Boston and started his comedy career. He gradually gained fame by making multiple appearances on late night shows with Stephen Colbert, David Letterman and Ellen. One of his highlights was in 2010 when he headlined the Correspondents’ Dinner and had then Vice-President Joe Biden well roasted. The crowd loved him and couldn’t get enough.

The Book Exchange Library is back! Come browse books, meet people and exchange ideas. As per usual, you are welcome to drop by anytime and do a quick book run or you can spend some time reading, chatting and all that fun stuff. The Book Exchange is Shenzhen’s biggest expat library, with around 800 English volumes and 200 Chinese/foreign language ones. During events, their collection is opened up for checkouts, returns and discussions.

Sun, Nov 15: Badminton Fun Play Day
Meet at Line 3 Fu Bao Station Exit F2 at 3.30pm, from 4-6pm play badminton, then 6.30pm back to Brass House for food and drinks! RMB100 includes the 2-hour badminton session, a Brass House t-shirt, one beer or soft drink and a mortadella sandwich. Sounds pretty sweet!
