Thu, Jun 25: Hanfu Fair
This family-friendly fair features an artisanal market and street food stalls. Discover traditional Chinese crafts and activities like sugar painting, silhouette portraits, dough figurines, shadow puppetry, woven bracelets, zongzi tasting, perfume sachets, bintanghulu (skewers of candied fruit), cotton candy, pitch-pot games and even a hanfu photo area. Hanfu means traditional Chinese clothing which you’re encouraged to come dressed in! Follow official WeChat account ‘SWInternational’ for a free admission ticket for the carnival.

Dragon Boat Festival is not only about rice dumplings. Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen has prepared sumptuous treats and exciting activities to celebrate. On June 25, enjoy classic homemade zongzi while listening to guzheng songs at Seasons Restaurant. Additionally, do not miss your chance to make a DIY dry herbal scent bag to bring the festival blessing home. Thu-Sat, Jun 25-27: Tequila Olympics

The Olympics got canceled, so Tequila Coyote’s is bringing the Olympics to you! On Thursday there will be a beer pong competition, consisting of eight contenders in teams of two. On Friday, get your stretchy pants out as the taco eating contest begins at 8.30pm: five contenders, 10 minutes to eat plus two beers to guzzle. If you don’t feel like stuffing your face, arrive at 7pm for the retro sport costume party which will run until late. Lastly, Saturday – a chili eating competition! Bionic Brew and newly-opened WES Fine Dining are collaborating this weekend to bring you a delicious set dinner menu experience. Only 16 seats are available every night, and the three-course menu consists of turbo steamed fish, beef tenderloin M5 cooked in stout and even dessert made with secret alcohol.
