#ThatsShenzhen Instagram of the Week: @tigerhuang23bb

It’s once again time for our Instagram of the Week feature, where we highlight our favorite pic from the @Thats.Shenzhen account.

The crowd favorite this week was shot by @tigerhuang23bb, who keeps delivering awesome content. He’s captured one of Shenzhen’s earliest landmarks, the Di Wang Tower (地王大夏), which was the tallest building in China for a brief period when completed in 1996. The name (translated to ‘Land King’ in English) comes from the price paid for the land, which was sky high as Luohu was considered the downtown area of Shenzhen at a time when ‘Shenzhen speed’ was coming into its own.
