Currently sitting at 9th place in the 20-team CBA standings, the Long-Lions have got off to an inconsistent start this season. The team went 1-2 in their recent homestretch against the Shenzhen Leopards, Shanghai Sharks and Zhejiang Lions. Their loss to Shenzhen, which happened on the Foshan arena’s opening night, was avenged two days later, when they took down a talented Shanghai Sharks squad 117-111, notching the team's first win on the new court. Their third and final home game of the stretch ended in a poor showing, losing to the Zhejiang Lions 102-88, the team’s lowest scoring output so far this season.
