The air quality results are in for Guangdong in the first quarter of this year, and Guangzhouers will be disappointed to learn that their city did not make the cut.

Zhanjiang had the best air quality this past March and was second among Guangdong cities (prefecture level and above) in the first quarter of 2018.

Shanwei and Heyuan rounded out the top three in the first three months of the year, according to China Daily. Disappointingly, Guangzhou, Foshan and Qingyuan were at the bottom of the list.

Last month, cities in Guangdong met national air quality standards 89.6 percent of the time, reports China Daily. However, excellent air quality was experienced during only 24.9 percent of March, while the remaining 64.7 percent was merely ‘normal.'
