Ofo Adds Minion, All-Terrain Bikes to Growing Fleet

Just when you thought we'd reached peak bike sharing, Ofo has gone ahead and added two more models to its growing yellow fleet: Minion and All-Terrain bicycles. (Because rainbow bikes, tuhao gold bikes and 'princess bikes' weren't already enough).

The former have been launched ahead of the premiere of the latest film in the Despicable Me series, which is wildly popular in China. We took one of these cartoonish bad boys out for a spin in Shanghai the other day and — spoiler alert — they're pretty average. We were half expecting them to make Minion-like sounds while riding, but no luck.

Some are even equipped with these creepy eyes.

And then there are these new all-terrain bikes, spotted recently along the sidewalks of Beijing:

Designed for off-roading, cross-country travel, mountains, dirt roads and rough terrains, ATBs are an interesting choice for the capital's concrete streets. But hey, someone's gotta put those giant wheels to use.
