Shenzhen’s annual New Year’s MIDI Festival successfully brought down the curtain on 2016 and waved a fond farewell to 2015.
The event, co-sponsored by Beijing MIDI School of Music and Kaisa Cultural Corporation, has long been a hotly anticipated cross-year activity for rock music lovers in the PRC.
Some of China’s most representative rock music acts, including Miserable Faith, Escape Plan and Reflector, graced the stage and wowed audiences with cunning acts of musical mayhem. A number of foreign bands also joined in the festivities, including Arms & Sleepers and Scare the Children.
Tens of thousands of fans packed Shenzhen Universiade Center to answer the call of MIDI Festival’s theme – ‘Stay away from drugs, come closer to music.'
