"Advanced Rural Style" Art Debut

By RoSSo's inaugural exhibition, "Nostalgia For Rural Wonderland" showcased 27 representative works from five outstanding artists. The artists include Li Guochen, a graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Chen Ce and Yang Yue, graduates of UAL, Wang Yuzheng, and Z. Ziyi from RCA. The works span various mediums such as painting, photography, video, and installations, deeply exploring the diversity of Chinese rural culture through diverse exhibition forms and content.

The theme emphasizes the crucial role of "land" in rural culture and expresses profound concerns about the loss of identity due to the disconnection from the land. Through elements like Hillism, the exhibition prompts viewers to reflect on historical societal traumas. The exhibition focuses on probing the boundaries of exhibition media, transforming the exhibition into an "event-show" where the works "happen," and the specific time and space of the exhibition intersect with artistic interventions, making the exhibition and artworks an integral whole.
