From May 8-14, Portman's restaurant at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai presents Me & Mom Brunch – plus exclusive gifts just for mom!

Me & Mom Mother’s Week Brunch Details 

You and your mother deserve a day out together, and Portman’s Restaurant is the ideal venue for celebrating the joy of motherhood – offering diners an “all-you-and-your-mother-can-eat” special brunch.

For this event, two of the team’s chefs have recreated dishes from their mothers cooking, offering up a taste of nostalgia and family love to guests. 

Executive Sous Chef Davide’s mother’s Italian Beef Lasagna will make its debut, a dish that reminds him of home and how his mother taught him to cook, thus launching his chef career.

Similarly, Executive Chef Xian’s mother’s Singaporean Laksa recipe will also be on offer, showcasing the flavors of his childhood, wrapped up in happy memories of his mom cooking for the entire family at home.

Beyond these two novel dishes, the brunch lineup includes:

• Salad Station

• Fisherman’s Market – Cooked prawns, freshly shucked oysters, green mussels, jade whelk, white clams, plus sushi and sashimi;

• Chinese Cold Dishes – Five-spiced sliced tripe, marinated beef with tangerine, jelly fish with scallion oil, sixi baked bran salad, shitake with green beans, and spicy chicken;

• Warm Chinese Dishes – Seafood fried rice, braised noodles with crab meat, kung pao frog leg, sous vide beef cheek, salted egg pork ribs, chicken fricassee, sauteed garden vegetables, and wok-fried shanghai greens with mushroom sauce;

• Live Stations – Roasted goose, suckling pig, M3 beef tenderloin, soy glazed salmon, drunken prawns, and assorted dim sum;

• Dessert Station – Ice cream, chocolate fountain, pandan panna cotta, fruit, brownies, cookies, and assorted other cakes, tarts and pastries.
