Brut Eatery, a Western-style restaurant that combines artisanal food, specialty wine and creativity in all aspects, is launching a new winter menu just in time for the holidays. While many think of Brut Eatery as just a wine bar, the innovation extends to the plate – with modern twists on classical dishes combining both Chinese heritage and multicultural Western flavors into uniquely delicious eats.

Start of your dining experience with the Buffalo Sauce Pork Ears (RMB56), a play on classic fried chicken wings, but with this side of the world’s late night eats choice of pig ears. Coated in tangy buffalo sauce and served with sliced yellow carrots and celery, these are the ideal bar snack with a frothy beer or a warming glass of red.

Tuck into some Spanish Style Seafood Rice (RMB168), a pan full of mussels, tiger prawns, squid, clams and aromatic rice for a healthy, yet full flavor lunch.

Nothing screams the holidays like Mulled Wine (RMB65), and Brut Eatery does it right, spiced with a cinnamon stick and an orange.

The Seared Lamb Chop (RMB98) brings together the flavors of the Middle East with two hefty lamb chops on a fermented bean curd hummus puree. Radish slivers and fried chickpeas add that extra bite of crunch.

For a seafood spin on Chongqing style laziji, the Sichuan Mala Fried Calamari (RMB62) incorporates all the Sichuan spices into a breadcrumb blend that coats the deep-fried calamari. For that extra hit of heat, the calamari rests on a bed of fried red chilis.

Like a twist on fireside s’mores, the Brandy Ice Cream Tart (RMB78) is a graham cracker caramel dessert crust filled with vanilla ice cream and strawberries, sprinkled with exploding red pop rocks and vanilla and served alongside a mini carafe of French brandy.

Along with Brut Eatery’s new festive menu, they are also offering four wines on special discount for the holidays from now through mid-January. Enjoy a warming bottle of Italo Cescon Merlot (RMB268), with a soft fruit aroma and flavor notes of cherries, black currants and licorice, it's an ideal wine for Christmas. The floral Italo Cescon Müller Thurgau (RMB268) is delicate yet complex, with a herbaceous sage aroma, while the fruity Miloca Carnatxa (RMB288) expresses the primary aromas typical of Grenache. Lastly, the fragrant L'Alleu Vinyes Velles (RMB488), made from old-vines of Grenache and Carignan, is pleasantly oaky and best enjoyed when decanted for 30 minutes.
