Aug 22: Michael Jackson, Tribute to a Legend

The Pearl is honoring the King of Pop with a concert 10 long years after his departure. Come for happy hour drinks from 6-7pm and dance late into the night to the legend that brought us ‘Thriller,’ ‘Beat It,’ ‘Billie Jean,’ and countless other timeless hits. Concert starts at 9pm.

Aug 23: Elevator Reincarnated

Elevator has lived many lives since closing earlier this year. After six months, it’s reappeared, and this time it’s bigger and better than it was before. Come to the official reincarnation of Elevator 2.0, with guest DJs like Knopha, Provoda and Linfeng.

Aug 23: Zimmer (Roche Musique)

Parisian producer Zimmer is coming to Arkham this Friday for a night of his dreamy, moder and colorful electronic music. He's a staple in the French scene, most known for his major remixes and mixtape series, and has played sold-out shows across France, Asia and North America, as well as at Coachella.

Aug 23: Tensnake

Tensnake’s first taste of critical acclaim came with the release of 'In the End (I Want You to Cry)' on the label Running Back. Released in 2014, his debut album Glow represented a milestone in a career which had already traversed the world’s greatest dance floors, and earned Tensnake his towering reputation as one of house and disco’s leading producers.

Aug 24: Genome – Qualiatik

QUALIATIK merges music with emotions and the subconscious to create introspective music that reaches deep into one’s psyche. The artist, who has an academic background in neuroscience, released a debut EP Discarnate this June.

Shanghai's only dedicated all-vinyl Northern soul and Motown night is back at punk rock dive bar Specters. Expect Otis, Aretha, Gloria, Sam & Dave, Wilson and more to make an appearance throughout the evening.

Aug 24: Roxie's 4-Year Anniversary

Aug 24: Taiji Records Showcase

After just 8 months after their launch, Taiji Records has already hit the Top 100 on the Techno and Deep House Beatport not once, not twice, but three times. Over the past eight months, the label has released more than 56 tracks covering multiple genres, from deep house to techno. Come see them this Saturday at Celia.

Aug 25: NTS Radio Live from Shanghai

While not exactly taking place at night, NTS Live from Shanghai have put together a smashing line-up for this months show at Uptown Records. GOOOOOSE, FFEi and Beijing-based are all set to put together mixes on the day, while the China Social Club duo will also be chopping the decks.

Aug 25: MachineGirl
