Dec 29: Fujiya & Miyagi
This
acclaimed electronic music quartet from Brighton, UK, bring their
quirky, poppy songs to Shanghai for a show at Bandai Namco. Active since
2000, their songs have been featured in several TV shows, like Breaking
Bad and Skins, and they released their seventh studio album earlier
this year.

Dec 30: Metal Tribute Show
Inferno rounds out the year with this epic metal tribute show, featuring 25 different musicians from Shanghai-based bands. Head there to hear covers of Pantera, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Megadeth and all the other greats. The event is partially organized by musical instrument companies D`Addario and Promark.

Dec 30-31: Franz Welser-Möst
As 2018 draws to a close, Shanghai Grand Theatre will present a concert to bid farewell to the past and welcome the new year with Franz Welser-Möst, one of the most distinguished conductors in the world. As the music director of the Cleveland Orchestra, he conducted the Vienna New Year's Concerts in 2011 and 2013. This will be his debut China show, so don’t miss out!

Dec 31: K&K Vienna New Year's Opera
For its first-ever New Year’s Eve event, KK Vienna at Ruihong Tiandi offers up dinner and a show. The five-course meal features luxuries like butter cheese Boston Lobster and chestnut cream soup with hot wine, paired with an opera performance by esteemed vocalist Qi Xu. It’s an elegant way to ring in the New Year.

Dec 31: New Year's Eve Parties & Dinners Galore

Dec 31: Arkham Spicy Ma La New Year’s Eve
Sure
to be one of the major party options for ringing in 2018 (as well as one of the more affordable choices), Arkham throws
a New Year’s Eve bonanza with Brooklyn-based rapper
Bohan Phoenix as headliner. Locally-based talents Dazzy, Amber Akilla and Max Shen provide support, while Daliah Spiegel and Worakit transform the club into a futuristic, cyberspace-themed party spot.

Dec 31: Unico El Dorado New Year’s Eve
UNICO
Shanghai throws a New Year’s Eve party with the out-of-the-box theme of
El Dorado, recalling the legend of the golden city hidden somewhere in
the Amazon jungle. Expect a mix of Latin house music and Afro beats with
a focus on Nu Cumbia and Andean music from DJ S.Kiv along with a live
percussionist.

Dec 31: Elevator NYE Explosion
Elevator
sends off 2017 with a sterling line-up of China-based house and techno
talent, including VOID’s Shanghai Ultra, who will be doing a live
hardware set, techno sorceress MIIIA of Co:Motion and Beatween’s Knopha,
who deals in catchy organic grooves. Another ultra afforable New Year's party option.

Dec 31: James Bond New Year’s Eve
Sir
Elly’s and MVP Events host this supersonic special agent-themed party,
so you can ring in the New Year with all things James Bond. Relive the

music.
