Attention Shanghai residents: If you're waiting to pick up your visa, passport or residence permit this week, double check your collection date! Shanghai's Exit and Entry Administration Bureau in Pudong will close from December 22 to 25 to upgrade their information system

If the collection date on your receipt says “20171225” or earlier, you can collect your documents up until December 21. If you can't make it over to the bureau before Thursday, then you'll have to pick your documents up after December 26.

If you requested your paperwork to be sent to your home or office address, the police reassure that it will arrive on time. (Naturally, this does not apply to those applications where relevant documents are missing or incorrect).

If you have any further questions regarding your documents, you can call the bureau directly at 2895 1900.
