June 23: Starkey
The Drop brings Philadelphia producer Starkey to Shanghai for a set at Dada. Known as an originator of street bass and one of the first producers in the US to make grime, Starkey is a classically trained musician and has released on labels like Ninja Tune and Planet Mu. Local DJs Siesta, Oshi, Puzzy Stack, Luxixi perform in support. Check out our interview with Starkey here.

June 23: Meatball Boogie
A Swedish midsummer rave comes to Elevator, featuring Shanghai's house/techno/disco all-stars Tobias Patrick, Allan Marshall, Charp, Mau Mau and Finascia. They'll be dropping Scandanavian beats all night long.

June 23: Explore Travel
Yan Jun, Dewey and Zent Xu bring their vintage analog synthesizer for a night of cosmic tunes at Mao Livehouse.

June 23: Velvet Robot
Craft's only resident female DJ will bring along the 'Discosmic Adventure' crew for a night of Italo disco in Shanghai. Dance all night to tunes from all genres, including disco, funk, new wave, Latin, Afro, boogie and more.

June 24: Ambient Night
Spend an ambient afternoon and early evening at Basement 6 with the Hippo Tank. Expect chilled-out, atmospheric beats from Downstate, Park Tapes and Laughing Ears. Music starts at 5pm sharp and ends at 9pm, as per Basement's new parameters.

June 24: SHFT Summer Rooftop Party
SHFT's popular Rooftop Summer Series returns, this time overlooking the Bund skyline. This edition promises to be bigger than ever with snacks, water guns, casino and carnival games. Beats by Brander Urstoff.

June 24: Say Yes presents Eric Cloutier
Say Yes is hosting a four-city Chinese tour for Bunker member Eric Cloutier, whose heady, timeless sounds and meticulous delivery have given him integrity and authority as a DJ and selector. His Shanghai event will take place at Elevator, starting at 9pm.

June 24: Hot Banana Party
Lucca 390 will be hosting their 'Hot Banana' party, which promises to be a wild, funny and colourful event with guest DJ Will Hsu and performers Whyan, Leo and Lalo. Free entry before 9pm, standard entry for RMB80 includes one drink.

June 25: NTS Radio Live from Shanghai
London based radio station NTS Live comes to SMASH for the Shanghai-edition of its broadcast show. Showcasing the best local DJs, producers and crews, they'll be playing chill club music on a Sunday afternoon. Can't make it? You can also listen live from 3-7pm here.

Ongoing: Celebrity Bartender Series at 1515 West
1515 West Chophouse and Bar continues its stellar lineup of award-winning celebrity bartenders from all over the world. This week, all-star Jillian Vose from famed American bar The Dead Rabbit — recently listed Number One in the World's 50 Best Bars — presents her special drink menu. She'll also be at the exclusive "Master Class" for cocktail aficianados who want to learn her special bartending tips.
