Shanghai's favorite black tie boxing bloodbath returns for another round in the rainforest, courtesy of White Collar Boxing International. Brawl on the Bund: Rumble in the Jungle 2017 will rock Hyatt on the Bund on June 9 for a one-time only event that's the first of its kind in the world.
More than 500 people will watch Shanghai's finest duke it out for victory. 'White Collar' boxers have been plucked from offices across the city and put in intensive training for three months, and will be ready to show off their newly mastered hooks, jabs and – importantly – ability to take a punch.
In the next few days leading up to fight night, we will be posting a preview of each match-up. From the sixth bout, Anton 'Dream Boy' Gil and Andrei Hushcha took the time to answer some questions.

What made you decide to fight? Family traditions. I was born in a family, with a strong sport culture coming from basketball, wrestling and boxing. This competition spirit is literally in my DNA. I've achieved success in other fields, boxing is next.
If you could fight anyone living, dead, fictional or real, who would it be? Rocky Balboa. As a revenge for Capt. Ivan Drago.
What does it mean for you to be a fighter? Stubbornly refuse to lose.
What sets you apart from the other boxers in Brawl on the Bund? In the ring or outside, we are all individuals with unique personalities and abilities. I prefer to compare myself not with others, but with my own standards.
What holes do you see in your opponent's game? He’d better not have any.
What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your fight? For the most part it will be just another night of entertainment. For me, these memories will stay for long. Hence, I want to to leave knowing that I did my work well.
Andrei Hushcha
Nationality: Belarusian
Age: 34
Weight: 81 kg
Favorite quote: Do what you must, come what may.
What made you decide to fight? The main reason I started to box was to lose my weight :) and I’ve lost 5 kg so that already makes me a winner. I didn’t even think about fighting, but I wanted to push myself to the limit so here we go.
If you could fight anyone living, dead, fictional or real, who would it be? Ukrainian professional boxer Vasyl Lomachenko.
What does it mean for you to be a fighter? The fighter always goes to the end.
What sets you apart from the other boxers in Brawl on the Bund? It’s really hard to say. We are united as we are the selected 14 for Brawl on the Bund. However, there is something that sets me apart from all of them—I have no boxing nickname.
What holes do you see in your opponent's game? He is much younger than I am, so that puts a lot of pressure on him to win. He might try to decide everything in the first round and that could be a fatal mistake. Anyway, everything depends on my game though.
What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your fight? For a spectacular fight, no matter who wins.
Fri June 9, 7pm. Hyatt on the Bund, see event listing here.
