May 19: Soda Plains + Dis Fig
Wooozy
Offline’s latest show at Dada showcases producer Soda Plains. Born in
Hong Kong and now based out of London and Berlin, he has an expansive,
experimental take on electronic music. A strong supporting line-up
features Dis Fig, a Brooklyn and Berlin-based purveyor of grime and
Jersey club, plus Dirty K, Naaah, Scintii and Sleepless.

May 19: Kaiba Discovery Boat Cruise Launch Party
To celebrate the launch of their first series of craft brews, Shanghai beer bar Kaiba throws a huge party on a boat with free beer and food, plus live performances by Akin,Visudy and Amber Akilla. May 19: Rabit
Shanghai’s
celebrated local bass music collective Genome hosts Houston producer,
composer, DJ, and record label owner Rabit. He’s known for both his
industrial, hip-hop-inflected sound and for cultivating an underground
dance community that promotes inclusivity of all races, genders and
sexualities.

May 19: '90s to Naughties
Smash holds the second installment of their throwback night. Expect a poweful dose of nostalgia thanks to Christina Aguilera, Nelly, Smash Mouth, Sisqó, J-Lo, 50 Cent and Nirvana. Attendees are encouraged to wear "90s and 2000s internet styles."

May 19: Chillmatic
Graffiti artist Ethan Liu, who is from Shanghai and is influenced by the aesthetic of The Gorillaz, joins DJ L-J, Dj Tag and Man Alive for a night of live art and music at Dope Shifu.

May 20: Amber Akilla: Double Happiness
Local DJ Amber Akilla will spin R&B and hip-hop with fellow DJ Ji Na in honor of Chinese Valentine's Day. Head there to celebrate "love, heartbreak and everything in between."

May 20: Afrojack
Dutch megastar DJ Afrojack, who has made it onto DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list for the past thousand years and is one of the most recognizable names in EDM, comes to Shanghai for a show at Fusion.

May 20: Kitsune Club Night With Young Franco
Celebrated club night Kitsune drops in to Shanghai as part of their Parisien
Tour, bringing with them producer Young Franco, who is known for his friendly stage persona and the bounce and soul in his productions. Catch him at Le Baron.

Beijing
art and music collective Shadowplay hosts Developer, an LA-based techno
producer and founder of Modularz record label. He has been active since
the ‘90s and found acclaim for being able to play 40 to 60 records per
