Maya's Hosting a Mexican Sichuan Tequila Pairing Brunch This Sunday

This Sunday, Maya's nodding to a different style of southern flavor: Sichuan.

A 'Mala Mexican brunch', along with concoctions via the hands of Jenny Gao of Fly By Jing and Austin Hu of Madison Kitchen, modern-thinking single estate Tequila icon Thomas Estes will also be present for food and tequila pairings. MAYITA's Veronica Bravo will also be pouring a medley of creative cocktails. If all that isn't enough to get your mouth watering in anticipation (we know what that Sichuan peppercorn can do!), here's a sneak peak at some of the items you can select from:

Sichuan ceviche of seabass, lime, dried chile and celtuce; mala mole on braised short rib with rice and beans; churros loaded with huajiao caramel ice cream...

The brunch is only on this Sunday, March 19 from 11-3.30pm. It's a three-course pairing menu with Tequila Ocho and one cocktail for RMB248, but reservations are a must, and we expect they'll be booked up quickly with that crew.
