Snappers and shutterbugs, here’s the craic. We’re holding a photography competition in conjunction with Le Chéile, the Irish Community in Shanghai together with the Consulate General of Ireland in Shanghai (stay tuned for their 2018 St. Patrick's Day events).

This year's competition is 'Green in China' — be it something that reminds you of the Emerald Isle, or simply a flash of the color itself here in the Middle Kingdom; interpret as you will and let your creativity flourish.

Not only will you get the chance to have your photo displayed during the Féile Family Day on March 10, but there's also a pot of gold at stake. Yes, we’re talking cash money. The competition will be split up into two catagories: the little people (under 16) and the big people (over 16) with each winner claiming RMB1,000!

Need inspiration? Check out some of the photos from previous competitions.

Enter the competition by emailing your photos to editor@urbanatomy.com, or by posting them on Instagram with the hashtag #greeninchina and the tag @thatsshanghai. Deadline is March 9, and don't forget to let us know which category you are entering.

Winners will be announced at the annual St. Patrick's Day Féile Family Day celebrations on Saturday, March 10, which is taking place in the historic Waitanyuan district by the Bund.
