So many "China podcasts" are just that – about Chinese history, politics or other, similarly wonky subjects. Not that there's anything wrong with that (we love us some history) but, sometimes, we yearn for the lighter side of China – and now, Kung Fu Komedy has delivered. Kurt Metzger starred on Horace & Pete alongside Louis CK, Steve Buscemi, Alan Alda and Jessica Lange. He’s an Emmy-award winning writer for Inside Amy Schumer and a writer from Chappelle’s Show. Earlier this year, there was a rape incident at a comedy club in NYC. An online mob was raging as rumors came out about the incident, and Kurt made comments online criticizing the mob mentality. The mob turned on Kurt, and then Kurt’s former boss Amy Schumer, and he lost two big writing jobs and became suicidal. It’s a heavy interview, and one we thought really important to get out there.
