Ordering your Venti Triple Shot No Whip Soy Milk Caramel Macchiato™ just got a whole lot easier for customers in China.

Starbucks announced this week that it would begin introducing the acceptance of WeChat payments in 2,500 stores across China. The agreement between the American coffee brand and China's largest social media platform allows customers to complete purchases with the simple scan of their phones — no cash required.

The deal is part of a larger partnership between the two companies. Starbucks also announced it would be launching a new "new social gifting feature on WeChat" that will start rolling out next year. The new feature will allow users to send Starbucks-branded gifts with personalized messages.
