There's no rest for Split Works who a week after their epic birthday celebrations are bringing the electro whiz back to Shanghai for a last minute show. While his early week had him pegged as a pioneer for chillwave, Neon Indian has managed to outlast many of his genre peers by expanding his infectious sound. A year after making his Shanghai debut with a full live band performance, Neon Indian will spinning an intimate DJ set at DADA. For more, check out our 2015 interview with Neon Indian.

Co:Motion presents the Shanghai debut of the Berlin based DJ, producer and creative mastermind behind the Beste Modus and Unison Wax record labels. Known for her vinyl-only sets, expect Cinthie to drop deep-yet-bassy mixes. Laura Ingalls supports.

Antidote presents the Southern Californian experimental producer who has released acclaimed projects on leading labels like Ninja Tune, Brainfeeder and Anticon. Expect to hear his abstract yet elegant take on hip hop beats from his newest disc, Labyrinths.

Asian Vibes brings their China Debut party series to The Mansion and this edition features the Californian techno favorite. Known for his experimental mix of analog and digital, Drumcell has developed a raw and hypnotic style that has made him a techno favorite despite his tendency to disregard the genre’s limitations. Support form Shanghai favorites Provoda, Max Shen, Ryu and Yoshinaga, with visuals from VJ Keefer.

Dec 2-3: The Shelter 9th Anniversary

Dec 2-3: The Shelter 9th AnniversaryIt’s the last month for The Shelter, and they’re kicking off the proceedings with one final weekend of birthday parties. While turntablist icon Shortkut (pictured) is headlining the Friday night party, the club is shining a spotlight on the local stalwarts that have made the subterranean club such an underground institution in the city for most of the month. Friday night features support from Kuroda Daisuke and V-Nutz. The next night is packed with sets from Blaise Deville, Hamacide, Downstate, Sakaka, Noda, Aivilox and Howell, as well as live performances from ChaCha and icenine. Other highlights to catch this month at the club is Tobias (Dec 8), Stamina MC (Dec 9), Ceephax Acid Crew (Dec 10), Kuranaka aka 1945 (Dec 16), Mobile Crew (Dec 17), Do Hits (Dec 23) and the final closing rager on December 31.

Since his single ‘Faded’ went platinum in over 10 different countries, the Norwegian DJ and producer has been a major name to keep an eye out for. With over 700 million YouTube views and official remixes from EDM legend Tiësto, Walker has proven he’s no one-hit wonder, reconnecting with singer Iselin Solheim on this summer’s chart-topping single, ‘Sing Me To Sleep,’ which has been streamed over 17 million times on Spotify.
Originally scheduled for Dec 3, the show has been postponed until Jan 7.

M1NT hosts another night of debauchery in the latest edition of this popular S&M themed party. Expect exotic performances and a naughty atmosphere as organizers invite Shanghai to “bring your whips, chains and leather suits for a wild night out on the Bund.” Mandatory dress code: all black, vinyl, latex, leather.

Not only does Bar Rouge support Marco but it continues its long running relationship with Brawl on the Bund as the official after-party spot. The big fight night continues on the Bund where the white collar warriors and distinguished spectators will converge for a glamorous night that benefits charity. Dress code: elegant.

The Hongqiao party house survived a summer of shutdown rumors with a new five year lease just in time for their anniversary party. Expect all of the Mansion favorites to spinning wild sets throughout all of its three floors.
