It's time for our highly anticipated Instagram of the Week, in which we highlight our favorite pic from the @ThatsShanghai Instagram page.
This week's selection is our favorite shot in a while. On the surface, user @rezeen_daniels has taken a picture of some rubble and trash, however on closer inspection the worker sleeping amongst the mess reveals himself.
We love the rawness of this shot and how the harsh lighting illuminates the debris surrounding him. Of all the shots we featured this week—of which many were very good—this is the most unique and engaging photograph and welcome break from the sanitized version of Shanghai which usually appears across Instagram.
