Jan 21: S!LK pres. TREKKIE TRAX CHINA TOUR

Trekkie TraxThis new Beijing label mixes art and electronic music for a unique peformance experience. For their first series of shows, they’re brining Seimei and Carpainter from the Tokyo-based collective, Trekkie Trax. Also a label, Trekkie Trax has been winning praise around the world with tastemaking fans like Uz and Scratch DVA. Conrank and Bloodz Boi support.

Choice 37

Le Baron host the YG Family in-house producer who has laced numerous K-pop hits from the likes of Big Bang, G-Dragon, 2NE1, Epik High and more. Before G-Dragon was shouting him out, the Korean-American producer was working with underground hip hop favorites like Blu and Aloe Blacc.

DVBBS

The Toronto duo rocketed to famed with the 2013 mega-hit, ‘Tsunami.’ While they tried to keep their identity hidden, the secret is out, thanks to legend Pete Tong. Since then, the brothers have repeatedly topped the Beatport chrats, signed with Sander van Doom’s DOORN Records, rocked festivals like Tomorrowland while setting a record in their hometown of Toronto by selling out 8,00 tickets and three shows in less than two hours.

Along with deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner, this Chicago DJ and producer helped propel the great American progressive house revival of 2008-2009. He’s since racked up a couple of Grammy nominations, was named by DJ Times as America’s Best DJ and headlined Coachella and Ultra.

The Daily Vinyl crew are back and they’re taking over Yongfu Lu for an all-day party. Things kick off at Uptown Records & Beer for a daytime record market where crate diggers can expect touncover many gems. There will even be a special deal of buy one record, get one free. Meanwhile JZ Club will also host a record market complete with live sets by Endy and Raw B plus an open turntable session. Organic Kitchen will be serving up a special dinner buffet and host a special acoustic live show. Meanwhile live performances and parties take place at night at ArcadeJZ Club and The Shelter.

Girls Night Out Liz & Jaz Edition
For this week’s edition of Bar Rouge and MVP’s Ladies Night, they’ve teamed with Liz and Jaz with their colorful necklaces a prize in the lucky draw. Ladies can enjoy free cocktails and manicures until 11.30pm. Dress code: elegant.

This creative community meet-up officially launches their monthly parties by bringing together some of Shanghai’s top DJs, musicians and lyricists to jam. Art supplies and canvases will be set up for anybody to use for free while a dance cypher will only add to the festivities.
