Sipping Science Society Presents, 'Liver la Vida Loca: Live(r) it up with Liver Stem Cells', with Professor Wencheng “Vincent” Zhang. The liver is our most important organ and conducts more than 400 functions essential for everyday life. But liver diseases caused by toxins, alcohol (cheers), fatty food, virus etc. are top killers to people all over the world. Liver transplantation is an effective way to save patients but there are more people than livers available.  One solution, and the focus of this talk, is using stem cell therapy as a way of curing liver diseases.
