This Thursday, November 19, the Bearded Bear will be hosting Two Meads & a Beer, a food pairing event featuring Hoop & Horn Mead! Happening at the crafty taproom, Beer Barrel, the dinner will be highlighted with a main course of roasted duck. The night begins with a pint of welcoming lager before the dinner gets started. The first course is a prosciutto and melon arugula salad with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses and vinaigrette dressing paired with Hoop & Horn Mead. The main course is roasted duck breast resting on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes with a ginger and grape vinaigrette sauce also paired with Hoop & Horn Mead. Lastly, for dessert, there is a nut encrusted cheesecake paired with a barrel-aged kriek, Also known as a cherry sour beer.
