An innovative venture from the stylish lifestyle brand Jing Republic, JR Recipe offers an eclectic mix of dishes from around the world, from a meaty Scotch Egg to a hearty bowl of Thai Curry.

This is a place to be inspired where you eat – the trendy décor, including pigeons on a telegraph pole, distressed woodwork and ambient lighting, may leave you wanting to smarten up your own home, so call into the interiors shop on the way out for never-before-seen ornaments and kitchen gadgets that are marvels of engineering – and if you’re on a date and forget the flowers, their florist will rustle up a bouquet for your beloved.

Lunch is based on three main cuisines: South East Asia, Italian and American, while at dinner time the concept is about exploring global foods through sharing platters and main courses so generous even those with the most voracious appetites will be able to spare the odd forkful. Add to this a complete range of unique cocktails developed by the knowledgeable bartenders, and a selection of fresh, healthy juices for those feeling virtuous.

On the menu Executive Chef/Partner Barry Lee shares his learnings from master chef Jean George in New York City, combined with the most successful of recipes from their in-house cooking school, helping make JR Recipe one of Shanghai’s most exciting destinations.
