In cooperation with the W+S Decoration furnishing store next door, W+S Cafe has partnered with Napoleon Chocolates to showcases its furniture pieces and silver tableware alongside sumptuous teas and cakes.

An array of desserts, labeled simply “sweet” (RMB58-68) include enticing signature mud chocolate cake (RMB58), which uses 70 percent Belgium cacao, and mangonut (RMB58) made of soft coconut cake covered in creamy mango mousse. Joffre (RMB68), the former name of Huaihai Lu, sees a bunch of fresh raspberries in pastry cream tucked between a sizeable rose-colored macaron. The light, melting sweet with pops of tart makes this ornate sandwich biscuit the ultimate pleasure.

 An impressive lady’s high tea (RMB298/two), offering three tiers of savory and sweet pastries and two pots of black tea, make for a perfect afternoon sharing snack. There’s also a range of heartier options including pastas (RMB78-188), appetizers (RMB45-65) and sandwiches (RMB65). A weekday lunch set (RMB98/two courses; RMB138/three courses) might be the best way to sample a range.
