Michelin Unveils 10 New Bib Gourmand Restaurants in Guangzhou

A total of 28 restaurants in the southern metropolis of Guangzhou have been designated Bib Gourmand in 2019! The Michelin Guide confirmed the finalists earlier this week via their official WeChat account.

As far as Michelin categories go, Bib Gourmand is awarded to restaurants which are deemed both affordable and worthy of recommendation (aka: foodie favorites). This means that three courses must be a true bang for your buck, costing RMB200 or less.

Twenty restaurants were designated Bib Gourmand in last year’s Michelin Guide Guangzhou, and this year the total is 28, with 10 new eateries joining the prestigious roster, while Ease Chinese Cuisine (Redtory) and Famous Cuisine from last year’s list failed to make the cut this time around.

What’s noteworthy is that the 10 newly added restaurants cover a wide range of Asian cuisines, including Cantonese, Chaoshan, Indonesian, Sichuan, Singaporean and Thai. Check out which new venues have been honored as Bid Gourmand below:
