On August 17 and 18, the X Warrior television show will be filming in Guangzhou. According to a media release the program is, “an obstacle course show almost exactly like American Ninja Warrior.”

The show has been on the air for almost three months and the next set of episodes will be filmed in Guangzhou, followed by Wuhan.

The event is completely free and competitors have the chance to win RMB5000 for successfully completing the obstacle course.

“If you complete the fourth obstacle you get RMB1000, RMB2000 for the fifth, and RMB5000 for successfully completing all six (not cumulative),” according to the same release.

Participants will be given August 15-16 to practice on the course before filming begins.

According to Brian Bies, course tester and foreign talent manager, only three to six foreigners will be selected for the filming because the majority of spots are held for Chinese contestants.
