July 22: Biz, Beers & Beach Party

Trivia Thursdays at Hooley's Guangzhou.

July 24: Li Yundi (pictured above)

Conducted by the most esteemed Swiss conductor Charles Dutoit, who currently serves as the principal conductor and artistic director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, Li Yundi will perform with the National Youth Orchestra of the USA. Li is most well known for being the youngest pianist to win the 2000 International Chopin Piano Competition when he was only 18 years old. His second recording of Liszt for Deutsche Grammophon was released in August 2003 and named Best CD of the Year by the New York Times.  Li's repertoire will include Passacaglia: The Secret of Wind and Birds' by Tan Dun, Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat by Beethoven, and Symphonie fantastique by Hector Berlioz.

July 26: Classic Movie Soundtracks

The piano fight from the film The Legend of 1900 still stirs our mind. Enduring Movement, a piece of work created by three pianists for the film, will be performed at this month's concert. The repertoire also includes an Oscar winning score from The Godfather, Japanese composer Joe Hisaish's Castle of the Sky, The Sound of Music original scores, striking music from Cinema Paradiso and many more.

July 27: F.C. Internazionale Milano vs, Real Madrid C.F. 

Football fans.

On July 27, F.C. Internazionale Milano will face off against Real Madrid C.F. as a part of the International Champions Cup.

The game starts at 8pm at Tianhe Stadium.

F.C. Internazionale, often referred to as Inter Milan outside Italy, will also be visiting Shanghaiand Shenzhen in the coming weeks, battling against Bayern Munich and A.C. Milan respectively.

By many accounts the Guangzhou match is the one to see, as Real Madrid is the ten-time European champions.

July 28: Tal Zilber

Israeli pianist Tal Zilber is versatile in that he has mastered a variety of musical genres, including pop, jazz and classical. A soloist with the Ramat Hasharon Orchestra in Tel Aviv and with Bethel Orchestra in Hartford, CT, his performances have been seen by audiences in the US, China, Australia and Argentina. July 28 will see him play Waltz in A-minor by Chopin, The Seasons by Tchaikovsky, Fantasy in D-minor by Mozart, For Elise by Beethoven, and many more.
