Zhengzhou woman buys BMW with RMB1 notes, realizes Chinese Dream

A food shop owner in Zhengzhou, Henan Province bought a BMW 4 Series with RMB100,000 in small - mainly RMB1 and RMB0.5 - bills.

The woman, identified by her surname Li, brought the cash over in ten big boxes when the dealership opened at 9:00am.

Over 20 staff members were tasked with counting the notes, kitted out with face masks to keep themselves from inhaling too much of the dust and dirt presumable coating the gritty notes.

Six hours mind-numbing later, they confirmed confirmed there was indeed RMB100,000 in total, but that still wasn't enough to purchase the vehicle. To cover the remainder of the sum, Ms. Li then did what she should have to begin with and put it on her credit card.

Needless to say, this far surpasses the man in Wenzhou who bought an RMB2,000 iPhone with five mao notes last September.
