After clamping down on delegates playing games on their smartphones and tablets, the dual meetings of the National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference currently underway in Beijing has moved the War on Distraction to its next front: tea servers.
In the weeks leading up to any high-level government meeting in China, domestic news media are inevitably flooded with galleries showcasing the intense training rituals for "tea-pouring ladies" in what can only be described as a 'creepy' level of detail:

Thereafter, one is just an unavoidably confronted with images of (overwhelmingly male) top officials ogling said girls while some terribly important speech is underway.
Most of the time, though, it's just Jiang Zemin:
Those halcyon days have come to pass, however. This year, China's rubber stamp legislature has finally introduced male tea servers.
Hopefully, it'll help delegates focus on the issues at hand. After all, passing every bill the Party introduces is clearly tiring work...
